Are you also looking for a Buffer alternative? Well, I was doing the same a couple of years ago. The good news is that I found a Buffer alternative that I’ll share with you.
If you have used Buffer, you’d know that it’s a fantastic social media scheduling tool for bloggers, social media professionals, digital marketers, and business owners.
However, there were a few things that pushed me to find an alternative social media management tool, which I’ll talk about in a bit.
Now, I’ll tell you about the social media management that I’m currently using as a Buffer alternative. I’ll also enlist the reasons why I switched from Buffer to my new social media management tool so that you’d know exactly why this transition happened.
Please be advised that being a blogger, I try out a lot of products — sometimes brands give me free premium subscriptions to use their products. It doesn’t mean that I only admire products that I get an endorsement from. I’m not even getting paid for writing this article. However, I’m their affiliate, which means, if you buy a subscription through my blog, I’d get a small commission, but don’t worry, it doesn’t cost you any extra money.
Without any further ado, let’s get to the part where I uncover my Buffer alternative.
Buffer Alternative: ContentStudio
ContentStudio is my go-to social media management tool. It’s a fantastic social media dashboard for both individuals and team members.
They offer a 14-day free trial. As far as the pricing is concerned, it costs $39 per month on a yearly subscription and $49 a month on a monthly subscription.
Many social media management tools cost slightly less than ContentStudio, but they only offer social media scheduling and re-sharing your social media posts features. ContentStudio, however, brings you multiple services. It’s pretty much like a one-stop-shop for your social media management. Not only does it schedule social media posts, but it also schedules articles and provides approval workflow for social media.
There are many perks of opting for ContentStudio. You’re about to find out some of the reasons why ContentStudio stands out from the crowd, especially why I chose ContentStudio over Buffer.

Here are five reasons why I switched to ContentStudio:
Workspace is one of my favorite features of ContentStudio. I have tried a couple of more social media management tools, but none of them offered something like this.
Workspace provides you with a feature to enable separate profiles for your brands under a single ContentStudio account. If you have multiple businesses or blogs, you can manage all of their social media accounts under separate Workspaces.
This way, you don’t have to buy and manage multiple social media management tools. All you need to do is create a workspace and select the right one before publishing or scheduling your social media content.
2. Content Discovery
One of the features that make ContentStudio stand out from the crowd is content discovery. You can use the keyword, hashtag, or influencer name to discover related content. You won’t find content discovery on any other social media scheduling platform.
Furthermore, you can discover top-performing content on Twitter and YouTube as well. Once you select the social media platform, modify the filters according to your requirement, type in your search term, then the content discovery tool would find the top content on that platform for you.
3. Blog Publishing
Blog publishing is a huge advantage of ContentStudio. I haven’t heard of any social media management tool that helps you schedule or publishes your blog content. ContentStudio would allow you to schedule your content on WordPress.com, Tumblr, and Medium platforms.
I’ve published content on wordpress.com in the past, but I still publish on Medium. So it won’t hurt to schedule my articles on Medium. I’ve seen bloggers who take the Medium platform very seriously. So this Buffer alternative tool could turn things around for them.
4. Team Collaboration
One of the perks of ContentStudio is team collaboration. You can add team members to your account; they could be your colleagues, bosses, or clients. ContentStudio has a robust approval workflow system as well as team management for social media posting and collaboration.
Buffer doesn’t offer team collaboration tools such as an invitation to users, assigning access, and approval workflow for Pro plan, which costs $15 per month, but they do offer these features in the Premium and Business plans, which cost more than Pro plan.
5. Affiliate Program
A big advantage ContentStudio has over Buffer is the affiliate program. Bloggers, freelancers, and digital marketers can get on board with ContentStudio to make money online. The buying decision becomes easier when a product or service you’re choosing has an affiliate program. You know that you can promote the product or service you’re using and earn money from it. ContentStudio offers up to 30% commission on sales, and the affiliate program is free to join.
Whereas Buffer doesn’t have an affiliate program. However, they used to have a reward program, which allowed users to earn credits upon successful referrals, but they discontinued it back in February 2020.
I shared whatever I think about this Buffer alternative.
I have been using ContentStudio for quite some time now. The reason why I talked about this is that I chose ContentStudio as a Buffer alternative. Therefore, I talked about it. Even though I’m still a fan of Buffer, and I might try them out again in the future.
Since I have multiple blogs, YouTube channels, and clients, which means, I need to manage multiple profiles across different social media networks. Moreover, features like Workspaces, team collaboration, and affiliate program put ContentStudio on the pedestal. So, clearly, I like ContentStudio the best.
Let me know what social media management tool you’re using right now.
